Outside looking in and up, these images are observations from my nightly walks in and around my Newburgh Neighborhood. Capturing the colors of dusk along with reflections and luminosity from the interior spaces. The image is derived from photos taken on my evening walks. The intimate scale of the watercolors, refer to the way we interact with the world through our phone cameras and social media

M98: DAILY DOCUMENTS
Watercolor
Digital prints available $100.00 each
M98 is the express bus I ride from my home in upper, upper Manhattan to my teaching job on the eastside for the last 15 years. Documenting my journey through the city in photographs, watercolors, drawings and eventually abstract mixed media paintings. A meditative ritual, I look for changes in the city landscape, unique color juxtapositions, capturing motion, all through the vantage point of the bus window.
This process is a concise diary of my visual attention, the gathering of abstract sources and ultimately the marking of time.
